President Jonathan Blasts Channels TV Over Documentary

We now all know that President Jonathan paid an unscheduled visit to the Nigerian Police College, Ikeja yesterday but the last has not been heard of the issue. He was accompanied by the Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Zone 2, Mr. Mamaah Tsafe, the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, Mr. Umar Manko and other officers of the armed forces. They arrived the dilapidated institution at around 3pm and immediately went round on an inspection tour. He visited the hostels (hostels, indeed), college kitchen, dining hall and the Officer's Mess (what a mess!)

His visit was said to have caught the college administration napping and the Commandant of the College, CP I. F Yerima was not able to explain how and when Channels TV did the documentary (is that really necessary a question?) When he was unable to provide an answer, he turned to deputy and other senior officers to save face but trust Naija men, not even one answer and no one said peem! (well, unemployment rate in Nigeria is high so you should understand). At the end of the day, the President declared (I actually wanted to use the word 'thundered'):

“This is a calculated attempt to damage the image of this government. The Police College, Ikeja is not the only training institution in Nigeria.”

Now, that is a part I don't get. Maybe you can help me out. Smear campaign ke? I guess we should all do fem now and not say a single word even if the whole nation is on fire. What kind of a nation is this? I mean, how more hopeless can it get?
